The actress, director and screenwriter Bénédicte Delmas was born on July 7, 1972 in Bayonne.

In 1990, Bénédicte Delmas graduated as a lifeguard and worked on the beaches of the Basque coast during the school holidays. The following year, she was elected Miss Basque Coast 1991 and ran for Miss France 1992, where she finished second runner-up . She represents France at the Miss International 1992 contest .

That year, in parallel with her studies at the Sorbonne Nouvelle , she worked as a model with a first contract at Chanel.

In 1995, spotted by the casting director of the series “Under the Sun” , Bénédicte Delmas successfully passed the tests for the series and began shooting a month later. She meets Tonya Kinzinger and Adeline Blondieau . According to the producer, the success of the series is due to the understanding and complementarity of the three heroines. She plays the role of Laure Olivier, a young doctor from the clinic of Saint-Tropez. In the same year, she appears in the clip “Imagine” by Hélène Rollès.

She then made some appearances in “A Girl in the Azure”, “Largo Winch”, “Navarro”, “Alex Santana”, “Lea Parker” and “Jeff and Leo, cops and twins”.

Since 2000, Bénédicte Delmas has been directing short films such as “Mafia Lose”, which receives the jury’s mention at the Mediterranean Festival of New Directors in Larissa , Greece. Then, she won the 3rd Special Jury Prize at the fourth short film festival in Saint-Avold in 2007.
She also makes TV fiction for “Sous le soleil” and “Plus belle la vie” . She is also dedicated to writing with several feature film projects for television and cinema.

In 2008, she studied writing at the Fémis, under the direction of Eve Deboise.

She becomes regular director of “Plus belle la vie”, “Investigations reservées” and “Section de Recherches”.

In 2013, she obtained the CNC for the screenplay she wrote: “They … the girls of Plessis” . Then in 2018, Bénédicte Delmas realizes two episodes of “Mongeville” .

On the private side, she married producer Toma De Matteis in 2005, with whom she gave birth to Lou-Anne in 2006.
